In the smart warehouse of Huaheng Welding in Kunshan, more than 10 AGVs (automatic guided vehicles) shuttle among more than 500 shelves and more than 40,000 kinds of materials. . Different from traditional AGVs, AGVs running in Huaheng Welding Smart Warehouse are implanted with 5G industrial modules, which can automatically receive instructions from the mobile 5G network with 5G "cores" to carry out operations such as outbound, inbound and transportation of goods. This is the first time in the country.

This year, our city has seized the opportunity of new infrastructure development and actively explored the application of 5G technology in the field of intelligent manufacturing. Combining the characteristics of local industries, Kunshan Mobile actively promotes the pilot application of 5G in manufacturing enterprises, and has created a 5G industrial cluster demonstration area project to help many manufacturing enterprises open up a new model of intelligent manufacturing supported by 5G.

Up to now, Kunshan Mobile has completed the 5G construction of 700 base stations covering the middle ring, and by the end of the year, the number of base stations will reach 2,000.
